I would like to introduce myself; I am Tony Whateley, owner of Loveday 4x4 Adventure Park in South Australia. Loveday 4x4 Adventure Park is an 8000 acre property on the River Murray in the Riverland of SA, We have 14km of river front and over 40km of 4wd tracks. We have a licensed tavern with toilets and showers overlooking the competition tracks and 4x4 playground. There is a huge campground at the back of the tavern and beautiful lawns next to the tavern. We have been up and running now for 4 years and I am expecting over 20,000 people to visit the park in the year of 2010.

I have set my calendar for 2010 with a number of events. We are well known for our high flying extreme events as seen on 4wd TV and in numerous magazines but it is camping, touring and recreational 4wdrivers that form the core of the parks business. As such we are organizing the 4x4 muster/expo in March of 2010. We have the full support of 4wd TV, who are booked to cover the event (Simon and Miranda attending) and will also be running adverts and promos within the program for a 6 week period leading up to the muster. The muster will not have any extreme competitions. The events will range from a show n shine to a tag along tours around the park with fun stops & family orientated games. We will also have live entertainment on the Saturday night

To encourage 4wdrivers to come to the Muster I have purchased an fj45 series Landcruiser tray top which I am customizing for a giveaway prize at the March 4x4 Muster. It will basically be a door prize for one lucky visitor to the park over that weekend. The plan is to build the 45 giveaway to a value of around $15000 and set it up it as a reliable but capable daily vehicle. It will be on display around Adelaide through the month of February with a big billboard in the back with advertising on it and all the sponsors names that contribute to it.

I have room on my grassed area for over 50 expo sites which will sit adjacent to my permanent licensed bar and between the camping area and my main race track (which will be open for visitors to the muster to drive at any time along with all of the parks other tracks, courses and obstacles).

I am offering these sites for businesses to show off their product to the 4wd public. This being my first year holding this event I am offering the sites in exchange for prizes and giveaways.

Sites will be 5x10 or 10x10 as there is no real charge I would ask that when booking a site you ask for only the amount of room you need. No sites will have power for this year so if you need power please use a small silenced generator.

They are grassed sites only; I would suggest that you be prepared for extreme heat, rain or wind as it can happen. March is always the best time to get perfect weather but also can get hot days Onsite camping is available or book into one of the local accommodation places.

I am aiming at getting up to 300 plus 4x4’s for this first muster then grow it in years to come. I would ask all exhibitors to come in Friday morning & set up I would expect allot of people to turn up on Friday. Saturday is going to be the day to show off and sell your products. I have organized all events to be held with in site of the tavern for Saturday so people can browse expo sites and enjoy a day of fun. Sunday we have a tag along tour with fun stops through the 8000 acre property covering mallee scrub, stony climbs, red sand hills and river flat country as well as a swimming stop on the River. This is a good chance for you to get out and mingle with the 4x4 community and see what they do and be part of the fun. This will also give some site holders the opportunity to demo their stuff.

As this is the first event it is essential that we do get a good turnout of expo site to encourage people to come along in future years and make the event a big part of the national 4x4 calendar
